The fleet is the reason to look here. A Jeep Wrangler Cabrio, a Nissan Frontier pickup in manual and automatic, and a seven-seat Ford Explorer sit alongside two small Kias. No other agency in our Curacao comparison lists a convertible Jeep.
Best for: the north coast, Shete Boka and anything that needs ground clearance or a load bed. Not for: renters who want the cheapest small automatic. Start elsewhere for that.
Prices in guilders
MB-Equipment quotes in Caribbean guilders, not dollars. Published daily rates: Kia Soluto 90 XCG, Nissan Frontier manual 120 XCG, Kia Sonet 125 XCG, Nissan Frontier automatic 140 XCG, Ford Explorer 7-seater 175 XCG and Jeep Wrangler Cabrio 195 XCG.
The guilder is pegged to the dollar at 1.79 to 1, so our comparison converts at that rate. In our checks, a 7-day rental in early November came to Cg 630 for the compact sedan, which is about $352.
The SUV was Cg 875 (about $489), the automatic Nissan Frontier Cg 980 (about $547), the Ford Explorer Cg 1,225 (about $684) and the Jeep Wrangler Cabrio Cg 1,365 (about $763).
Insurance, deposit and license
Every car is all-risk insured with no kilometer limit. The terms set third-party cover at a maximum of NAF 150,000 and an excess of EUR 500 or NAF 1,000 per claim.
The deposit is EUR 500 or NAF 1,000 for up to two drivers, rising to EUR 750 or NAF 1,500 for three or four. Payment is by cash or bank transfer.
Drivers must be 18 or over and hold a valid category B license. They ask for a license and a passport at handover. Only people named in the rental agreement may drive.
Pickup and cancellation
Their reservation system lists Hato Airport as the pickup point. There is 24-hour assistance for breakdowns and flat tires.
Read the cancellation clause before you book: their terms say a renter who cancels owes the full rental amount. Opening hours are not published, so agree the handover time in advance over WhatsApp.
