Best for: bigger groups and anyone who wants the car delivered somewhere other than the airport. Thirteen classes is the widest list in our Curacao comparison. Not for: renters who need the minimum age or the deposit confirmed in advance. Neither is published.
Insurance and the $400 deductible
Every rental carries third-party liability cover for injury or property damage you cause to someone else. Damage to the rental car itself is covered only if you add All Risks.
A US$400 deductible applies at all times, on both the liability cover and the All Risks cover. If you are not at fault and the operator recovers the money from the responsible party, that deductible is refunded.
They do not charge for the reservation itself, and payments made for a booking are non-refundable. Visa and MasterCard are accepted.
The fleet and prices
Thirteen classes: Economic Basic, Economic Plus, Midsize, Midsize Elite, Crossover, SUV, SUV compact, SUV Elite, SUV 7 seater, SUV Kia Telluride, Minivan, Pickup Truck and Luxury Minivan.
In our checks, a 7-day Economic Basic rental in early November came to $266 and Economic Plus $294. Midsize and Crossover were $420 to $455, the SUV classes $518 to $525, and the Minivan, Pickup Truck and the three largest classes $595 to $630.
The Kia Telluride and the two 7-seat options are the practical picks for six or seven people, all at $630 for that week.
