What to know about RR

They list cars by model rather than by class, which is rare here. You book a Chevrolet Spark or a Kia Rio, not an unnamed economy category.
Open 7:30am to 6pm seven days a week, weekends and public holidays included. Best for: renters who want to know exactly which car they are getting. Not for: trips shorter than three days, or anyone expecting an airport counter.
The airport rule
Curacao International Airport rules stop RR from handing over cars at the terminal. Instead they run a shuttle from the airport to their delivery point. Tell them at booking so they can send instructions.
Airport drop-off and pick-up runs 7:30am to 6pm. Give them your flight number and arrival time and they track the flight on the day, so a delay is not a problem.
They also deliver to and collect from your accommodation as an additional service.
Age, deposit and insurance
The minimum age is 23, with own risk set at ANG 650 or EUR 325. Drivers aged 18 to 22 can rent but pay a mandatory ANG 800 or EUR 400 deposit. Your license must have been held for at least one year, and international licenses are accepted.
All-risk and personal accident insurance are included in the rate. The deductible on the all-risk cover is $371.42.
A second driver is free. The maximum is two drivers per car.
The fleet and prices
Published daily rates: Chevrolet Spark $39.20, Nissan Versa $48, Volkswagen Jetta $50, Chevrolet Trax $58 and Dodge Grand Caravan $70. All automatic, all with unlimited mileage.
In our checks for a 7-day rental in early November, the manual Kia Picanto came to $263 and the Chevrolet Spark $273. The Nissan Versa and Kia Rio were $336 each, the VW Jetta $350, the Chevrolet Trax $406, the Hyundai Venue $441 and the seven-seat Dodge Caravan $511.
Longer rentals get cheaper: 5% off at one week, 10% at two weeks, 15% at three. Beyond that they quote individually. The minimum rental is three days. Payment is by cash or bank transfer.
