What to know about Ross
Ross started renting cars in Suriname on 1 August 1996 and now runs a Curacao branch at F.D. Rooseveltweg 526 in Willemstad. The site reports a fleet of more than 150 vehicles and over 10,000 customers across both countries.
Curacao hours are 8am to 8pm on weekdays and 8am to 6pm at weekends, which is longer than most local agencies here. The Curacao phone number is +5999 513 6678.
Best for: travelers who want an SUV or a van and a company with a thirty-year record. Not for: anyone who needs the age limit, deposit or license rules confirmed in writing before booking. None of the three is published.
Pricing
Ross does not publish a rate card. Prices only appear once you enter dates in their reservation form.
In our checks, a 7-day economy rental in early November came to $228, the lowest economy week we found in Curacao. The compact SUV was $358, the intermediate SUV $390, the full-size SUV $423 and the full-size elite SUV $650.
Vans sit in between: a midsize manual van at $455, a mini van at $488 and a midsize van at $585 for the same week.
The fleet
Eight classes, each labeled with its ACRISS code: Economy (MCMR), Compact SUV (CFAR), Intermediate SUV (SFAR), Full Size SUV (FFAR), Midsize Manual Van (MVMR), Mini Van (MVAR), Midsize Van (FXAR) and Full size Elite SUV (GFAR).
Five of the eight are SUVs or vans, so this is a better fit for families and groups than for a couple after the cheapest small car. The midsize manual van is one of the few manual vehicles in the Curacao market.
